Shahbaz Sharif Uses Dozens of Government Websites to Promote His Facebook and Twitter Profiles

Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Punjab
Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Punjab and also known as Khadim-e-Alaa, uses more than two dozen government websites to promote their personal Facebook page and Twitter profile.

These sites - which are owned by the government of Punjab and not by Mr Sharif - are vigorously and shamelessly used by the chief minister to promote a Facebook page and a Twitter profile used for official reasons, personal and political.

It maybe recalled that the Facebook page and Twitter profile in question are personal property of Mr. Shahbaz, who will remain even after his term of service.

Instead of encouraging all these departments of the provincial government for their own social media profiles, so users can follow their updates and can hold the bills, even after the government has done, Mr. Sharif chose to promote their own profiles as if these government websites are their personal perperties.

These range from government websites of Punjab Police Pension Funds Punjab Daanish Schools Health Department. Almost every website has a link to Facebook Shahbaz Sharif and Twitter profile page, encouraging users to become his follower in social networking websites.

The last time I checked Shahbaz Sharif had 343,349 fans on Facebook and nearly 75,000 followers on Twitter.

It deserves mention that there could be more government websites used for the same purpose but I found only 20 such sites.
