How to Index a Website in Google Search in 24 Hrs [Case Study]

Having a website today is an essential part of online presence and it’s important that people or target customer can find your website by your brand name in search engine. Many businesses already started adding a blog with their website for faster indexing and for more exposure from search engine and social media. Here in this article, I’m going to help you get your site in search engine within no time.

Recently I worked on Two websites, one for my client and one for myself. Challenge was to index a website in Google within 24 hours. This is not an easy task but not tough too. A proper strategy will help you to put the website in search engine within 24 hours or may be a couple of hours.

You can try this with any new domain you have bought or any site which you created but you are not getting any traffic from search engines. very first, step is to check if your site is indexed in Google or any other search engine or not. Go to Google.com and type site:domain.com

Replace domain.com with actual domain name (ex: iBloggrMaster.blogspot.com) and check if site is indexed or not. If there is no results, it’s time to work on following given step and get your site in Google. Here is a screenshot for above query:

Why to index a website? 

 I know many people here are not aware of the term indexing. Indexing in SEO means, making search engine keep a record of your WebPages in search engine. We should target all major search engine (Google, Bing). Here is the synopsis of strategy which I used to put both the website in search engine within 24 hours. Apart from Onpage SEO optimization like meta tags, meta keywords, meta description and On site SEO (Noindex, nofollow) robots.txt, sitemap main strategy was put the website in search engine in few hours. Well, before you try to index a website (new), make sure you have your content ready. As you don’t want Google bot to come and just crawl your empty homepage. As I mentioned above, make sure you do all basic On site SEO and then work on the below method to get your site indexed fast. Though, it all depends how fast Google update the new indexed pages, or if you are doing this for your client, you might like to check index status in all countries to check for data replication delay. 

 Submission to Blog networks :

We talk about blog directories and blog networks and most of SEO expert they were the things of the past, but it’s not that true. Even today it works. But like old time, you should not submit your blog to every blog network or blog directories. Instead submit your blog to selected blog network and directories. Avoid link exchange blog directories!.  Here are 2-3 Blog directories/network Which I prefer and suggest to my readers :

Technorati :

Technorati is one of the biggest blog directory in the world. By submitting your site in Technorati, you not only boosting your site reputation but also it will help to get your site indexed fast.

Blogcatalog:

This is one of my favorite because this blog network drive lots of traffic and link back to my blog always.

Sitemap Submission :

Sitemap is created to help search engine crawler to effectively crawl your blog. Make sure you have created your or client sitemap. Now submit sitemap to Google/ Bing/ Yahoo / Ask and popular search engine you can think of. 

Popular website Stats program :

How many of you know about Websites which keep stats of domain or show the price and value of any domain. This is a nice way to get your site indexed. Though submitting to multiple stats site is not easy and we can use free tools like IMT website submitter. All you need to add link and anchor text and IMT submitter will submit your site to sites like who.is, “website stats” and other such sites. Here is the link : IMT Website submitter.

Social Bookmarking submission :

This is another method which is very effective. Though somehow within 4 hour my website was in search engine and I didn’t had to go for submission. In case even if I had to, I would have gone for Mixx, Digg and delicious.

Ping Services: 

Ping services are another one great effective way to notify search engine for your existence. Pingomatic  is one such tool which you can use to notify multiple service at once. Though WordPress has default feature to ping services, but giving it a shot for the first time won’t hurt. Another one which you can try out is Pingler.
